Expansions are often created just to improve on what is already successful. With the World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King expansion, this also proves the same. The Wrath of the Lich King promises to improve the previous expansion’s already time tested and widely acclaimed gameplay and visuals. However, Blizzard Entertainment takes it one step higher with introducing something new to the game, a new “goal and reward system,” if we can all it that. This system is called the Achievements System, and it is a new feature that would surely make any gamer more eager to play the expansion. Below is the Player Achievements Preview that will enlighten you about the Achievement system and what it can do for you!

What it is:

Achievements reflect everything that you have done inside the World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King expansion. May it be exploring the new world, fighting against the environment (PvE), fighting other players (PvP), or even just developing your character, everything has a corresponding achievement. Once you accomplish an achievement, you will be given rewards in the form of titles, pets, or tabards. Although the rewards are purely vanity and have no true use in fighting, having them would surely show other people how much you’ve done.

Where to Find It:

This Player Achievements Preview would not be complete if I didn’t tell you where to find your Achievements in your window. In your main action bar, you will find a new button. Clicking that will show your Achievements window. At the top of the window, you will see the points you’ve accumulated for accomplishing achievements. Below that, you will see each of your achievements, their descriptions, value, and even completion date.

How to Boast About It:

Every gamer is proud of their character, and those who tell they don’t care are lying. In this Player Achievements Preview, I will tell you how to “boast” about your character and feel prouder for their achievements. First, you can compare your achievements with others by right-clicking on another character. An option will tell you how to check their achievements to yours. WoW takes care of the rest of the “boasting” because whenever you complete an achievement, it is automatically announced to the guild you belong to, or to everyone in the area you’re in, with added special sound and visual effects. How cool is that?

What Are Its Types and Categories?

There are several types of achievements. Some are easy and simple, such as having to style your character, while others are difficult, such as killing 100 Guild Leaders. Others need to be tried or achieved only once, while others have to be done repeatedly. I will end this Player Achievements Preview with a list of the categories of achievements that you can have in Wrath of the Lich King.
