Monster-catching MMO Temtem releases patch 1.2, introducing the game’s first holiday event and some long-awaited PvP changes.
Temtem has officially released its 1.2 update. This update is pretty significant and brings a lot of features that players have been waiting for developer Crema to add to Temtem.
The monster-catching MMO released in early access in 2020, and garnered quite a bit of attention given the game’s similarities to Pokemon. One of the key differences is that Temtem allows players to interact with each other—similarly to other MMOs—and players can even play through the story in co-op mode with each other. The game was in early access for over two years, and Temtem fully launched with many new features in September 2022.
Patch 1.2 released on December 5 and actually combined the updates of both Patch 1.1 and Patch 1.2 into a single package. The update added a host of new features, including a new medieval-themed Tamer Pass, some in-depth changes to competitive rankings, a new PvP feature called Temtem Showdown, in-game events, colorblind accessibility options, and several quality-of-life changes and bug fixes. Since Patch 1.1 got combined with 1.2, this is the first major update since Temtem reached its full release.
