Resident Evil 4 Remake Demo Shows Animals Are Umbrella’s True Victims

Initial excitement about the newly released demo for the Resident Evil 4 remake may have quickly turned into revulsion with one of the more morbid style directions the game is taking in regard to animals. Perhaps this is a sign that the evil Umbrella Corporation in the game actually despises animals, or it is simply symbolic of the remake taking on a darker tone than the first version of the game. Either way, the RE4 demo showed players carnage that goes beyond the original.
The RE4 remake demo and release date were announced at the Capcom Spotlight on March 9, with the demo becoming available immediately. RE4‘s Chainsaw Demo lets players experience the village sequence near the beginning of the game, which included a memorable moment with a dog from the 2005 original. This demo is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam and has no time limit or cap on how many times it can be replayed.
