Kong Studios has announced that fans of the Zelda-inspired JRPG Guardian Tales on Nintendo Switch can look forward to more free content to enjoy in November and December.

The retro-looking fantasy-adventure game Guardian Tales is currently free to download and play on the Nintendo Switch. The free aspect of this indie title won’t change as Kong Studios has released a roadmap of new content fans will be able to play soon enough.

While I haven’t gone through every piece of content available (yes, I have been playing it), as of writing this, the game is supposed to offer 100 hours of gameplay. The upcoming updates will introduce new immersive stories and exploration.

According to Publishing Director Changkyu Song, Guardian Tales will remain free-to-play. Not only that but no playable content will be locked behind a DLC paywall. Kong Studios will continue working on the game and keep releasing free content down the line.

Currently, you can experience gameplay until World 7 in Guardian Tales. World 8 is supposed to be released sometime in November. A bunch of short stories and side stories will also be released. An update in November will also bring more Guild Raids.
