A fan spots a new PlayStation Plus logo indicating that more Day One releases could be coming to Sony’s subscription service in the future.
A new logo showing the PlayStation Plus icon along with the words Day 1 Release has been spotted on an up-and-coming game for both the PS4 and PS5. The PlayStation Plus subscription was revamped to a tiered system earlier in 2022, but the service still offers monthly titles at no extra cost for all subscribers.
The PlayStation Plus December 2022 line-up was recently announced with the Mass Effect Legendary Edition leading the charge. The sprawling RPG from Bioware certainly grabbed the attention of PS Plus fans as it includes all three of the main games in one package, effectively giving players five games instead of the usual three. As a result of this announcement, the other two games, Biomutant and DKO: Devine Knockout understandably garnered less attention.
However, kabirsingh84 over on Reddit noticed that Sony has included a new “Day 1” logo on the image of DKO: Devine Knockout. The game is set to release across PC and Xbox consoles as a paid title on December 6, the same date the PS Plus line-up goes live. This will undoubtedly give Sony an advantage as they are offering Devine Knockout at no extra cost. Of course, players do have to be subscribed to PS Plus and add the game to their library…
